MWC 2013 sudah berlangsung selama beberapa hari, disana Nokia terlihat tidak terlalu agresif dengan hanya memamerkan beberapa produk saja tanpa memunculkan flangsip terbaru,s alah satu diantaranya adalah Nokia Lumia 720 sebagai ponsel WP8 kelas menengah.
Meski sebagai suksesor Lumia 710, namun Nokia Lumia 720 didesain layar kaca yang melengkung seperti pada Nokia Lumia 800. memiliki luas 4.3 inci ClearBlack beresolusi WVGA (800 x 480) dengan sentuhan super sensitif, sehingga masih dapat digunakan dengan sarung tangan dan kuku sekalipun.
Gunakan prosesor dual-core plus RAM 512 MB, Nokia Lumia bersegmen menengah ini juga dilengkapi dengan koneksi NFC. Kelengkapan lainnya ada juga kapasitas baterai 2000 mAh, plus kemampuan untuk pengisian daya secara nirkabel.
Didalamnya terdapat 8 GB memori internal dan ada slot kartu microSD yang mampu mendukung hingga 64 GB.
Ponsel dengan ketebalan 9 cm dan berat 128gram ini menggunakan lensa dari Carl Zeiss 6.7MP dengan aperture f/1.9 sehingga lensa dapat bekerja dengan baik pada kondisi cahaya rendah. sedangkan untuk video capture mampu menghasilkan rekaman resolusi 720p berkecepatan 30fps.
Perangkat berbodi plastik ini dipasarkan casing belakang yang dapat digonta-ganti dengan berbagai warna (merah, kuning, White, cyan dan magenta). Perangkat ini akan diluncurkan di Asia (TD-SCDMA versi untuk Cina) dan di beberapa negara Eropa pada kuartal ini.
